Description

The ALF system (Landslide alert) is an autonomous system, designed to give a fast response in the control of surface landslides. The system is very simple to install and maintain and is able to provide a alarm in real time. The system can be easily moved from point to point, as needed, quickly and conveniently. Battery powered, can be equipped with a photovoltaic panel, to be installed on top of the instrument support pole. The system consists of a multiturn rotary displacement sensor, with a maximum development wheel 2000mm, from a data acquisition unit and from a GSM / GPRS modem. The data acquisition unit and the modem are placed in the same container as the sensor. A kevlar or invar thread is stretched between two points, where a one part is fixed on a pole, using a special bracket, while the other is made to slide around the wheel and kept taut by means of a ballast; in this way the wire can also be stretched for long distances, up to 40 meters. For assembly, simply anchor two poles in the ground to the desired distance and then install, with the special brackets supplied: the sensor, its relative striker and tension the wire. The alarm can be:

Sent via SMS
Local, activating siren, flasher, traffic light, etc.
Broadcast by activating remote devices (ex. traffic light to block a road), via radio or via modem with I/O inputs

A relay card is required to activate a local alarm.
