The FL530 meter is an instrument designed to measure the speed of water in partially filled canals, rivers and pipes.
The system consists of a telescopic rod with a whirlpool at the end and by a control unit with digital display.
The operating principle consists of a free-to-rotate propeller which, inserted in a stream, creates a quantity of impulses directly proportional to the speed of the water.
These pulses are processed by the microprocessor which transforms them into speed m / s and displays them on the digital display.
</ span > The control unit is equipped with 4 function keys that allow you to:

• Set the calibration and unit of measure
• Display the maximum, minimum and average speed
• Store up to 30 measures
• Reset readings and memory.

The control unit has a battery with an average duration of 5 years inside, at the end of which (indicated with the writing bat ) it is necessary to replace the entire control unit.
The FL530 speed meter is produced in three models which differ from each other for the extension of the telescopic rod.
It is possible to order the instrument with a special adjustable propeller holder, which is used to position the meter in channels where otherwise it would be impossible make the measurement. It is also possible to order a “fin” to be mounted on the telescopic rod in order to orient the propeller in the direction of the flow.
