Data acquisition system for wide distance monitoring systems.

Description

HollyCloud is a data acquisition system designed by SIM STRUMENTI that use LoRa communication technology to make easier the management of monitoring systems consisting of many sensors in long distances.

HollyCloud is consisting of:
Sensor module – LoRa readout unit attached directly to the sensor.
Master module – LoRa data acquisition unit, attached to the central server, that communicates with the Sensor modules.
Central server – central unit that manage the whole monitoring system and the data transmitting.

One Central server can manage up to 4-6 Master modules and each Master modules can manage up to 15 Sensor modules, making much easier to build a large and modular monitoring system, manageable via one single server.

Every LoRa unit, both Sensor and Master modules, are set with a sequence of Address+Channel for the communication that cannot be edited in future and therefore those modules are going to communicate only towards themselves.

The Sensor module can be provided with different type of reading module for different sensors: load cells, MEMS, 4-20mA sensors…

Data are transmitted to a FTP server set via Central server.

The Central server is powered via 220Vac/12Vdc while every Sensor module is provided with 2 Lithium Batteries (each: 7.2Vcc 17Ah). The battery life is guaranteed for 4 years in standby mode. Instead of using the Lithium Batteries, it is also possible to use an external power supply.
