Embankments monitoring.

The DS835 extensometer for embankments has been designed to measure the lateral deformations caused in the embankment and can be used as a single instrument or as a chain composed of several units.
The strain gauge consists of: two anchor plates, a displacement sensor, a telescopic element, a extension rod (variable in size) and a jointed corrugated pipe in HDPE that acts as both protection which gives anti-friction.
The instrument is installed longitudinally with respect to the embankment for its entire width. For this reason it is advisable to install several units in the same chain, where a displacement sensor is installed between each two anchor plates.
The bottom The scale of the displacement sensor is chosen based on the expected deformation.
